Synopsis

Joaquín, Brujo and Luismi, three forty-something scoundrels, meet again after twenty years. While Brujo and Luismi remain the same, no job and little to no aspirations, Joaquin is now a renowned entrepreneur. Or so he thinks. At 47, he still lives at his mother’s place in Orcasitas, together with his daughter, yo-yo champion, Brenda, and his brother, “Wing-chun” master, Chema. They all live in a 9th floor, 9 floors away from reality until they receive a court notice about the repossession of their house, serving as collateral for the default of one of Joaquin’s loans. Joaquin thus becomes a man with a mission: avoid eviction. Together with Brujo and Luismi, they will adventure on a desperate pursuit of money, tracing a strategy filled with “brilliant” ideas that will make Joaquin sink deeper and deeper every time, dragging his whole family along with him.
